Scott Yanker began his career in 1984 with Allmerica Financial, and transitioned to LPL Financial in 2003.

Selecting a financial consultant is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. My sound conservative guidance aims to help clients manage and preserve their retirement assets. I specialize in helping retirees, pre-retirees and families in the St. Louis area invest for all phases of their lives by striving to provide the highest level of independent and objective financial advice.

I grew up in Massachusetts, where I attended St. Joseph’s High School. I then when on to play collegian baseball at American International College where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). After moving to St. Louis I married my wife Peggy in 1988. We currently reside in Ballwin and are blessed with two children, Jackie and RJ. We are members of Holy Infant Parish. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, watching my son play competitive weekend baseball and grilling on the “Big Green Egg”. I am a Master Mason as well as a Scottish Rite and Moolah Shrine member.

My firm has been working with individuals and businesses in the area since 1998 and our consultants are licensed through LPL Financial to sell a variety of investments and insurance products. As my client, I will provide you with clear, easily understood explanations of financial products and services. Joseph Farhatt has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, where he specialized in designing and implementing executive benefit plans for community bankers using bank-owned life insurance (BOLI). Prior to his career in finance, Joseph spent 17 years as the marketing and merchandising manager for the Steve Mizerany and Joe Farhatt New Deal Warehouse and Showroom of Appliances.

Now with The Yanker Group, Joseph specializes in developing retirement income strategies through research, portfolio construction and financial analysis. Depending on the phase of retirement the client is in, Joseph incorporates a diverse investment offering that may include stocks, fixed income and alternative investments.

Joseph received a BA in marketing from St. Louis University, and an MBA from Fontbonne University. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Financial Services Institute.

A St. Louis native, Joseph and his wife, Jean are active with the local causes Voices for Children and the Children’s Heart Association. In his free time, Joseph enjoys golfing, yoga, doing stand-up comedy and comedy screenplay writing.

Carlye Yanker, wealth management assistant showed passion for her future financial career during her years at the University of Kansas as the Student Senate Treasurer. This position included many responsibilities, but most importantly she managed the Student Senate’s annual $24,000,000 budget consisting of student campus required fees. She led the finance committee in allocation of funds to a variety of student organizations all over campus. She also served as an ex officio member on ten advisory boards and committees as a financial aid for each required campus fee. It was an important position as she was representing the student body financially and had a fiduciary duty to manage campus fees appropriately.

In addition to Student Senate Treasurer, she served as President of Mortar Board, a national honor society recognizing college seniors for their exemplary scholarship, leadership, and service. Even though she was incredibly busy senior year, she enjoyed the experience with Student Senate and Mortar Board and is implementing the skills learned in her career today.

After graduating from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting she started as a Financial Representative at Fidelity Investments in Dallas, TX. At Fidelity, she assisted clients with their financial questions in the call center as well as the local branch in Dallas, TX. After 2 years at Fidelity Investments, she continued her financial career as a Registered Associate at Morgan Stanley. She supported financial advisors in various roles such as client services and coordinating client events. After almost 4 years in Dallas, TX she decided it was time to move home and start working with her family at The Yanker Group. Her long term goal is to be a financial advisor and enjoys helping clients pursue their financial dreams.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling especially to Europe, and spending time with family and friends.

Carol Yanker has worked as the Director of Operations in the financial services industry for more than ten years. She attended Southeast Missouri State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a minor in business management. After college she gained experience in the chemical industry as a senior sales representative for Chemtech Industries, St. Louis, MO. 

Carol oversees Client Services and is responsible for compliance operations, audits, hiring & training of employees, and general office supervision. Aside from logistics, Carol provides our clients with the highest level of service. Her attention to detail and efficient organizational skills add lot of value to our office. We are a family owned financial office and our goal is to provide the best experience for our clients.  We enjoy meeting our clients and want to understand your family’s view of financial success through direct and open communication.

Carol resides in Ballwin with her husband Scott and two children, Carlye and Grant.  Her hobbies include working at the office, cooking with her family, entertaining family and friends, golfing with Scott and in the summer a part-time spinner.


Jean Egart joined the team in 2013 after a career in the automotive

She is our front desk receptionist and is glad to welcome you to our
office. Jean is here to answer your phone calls, schedule and confirm
your appointments. Along with assisting our clients and advisors, she is
involved in our marketing and client seminars that we have throughout
the year.

Away from the office, Jean enjoys spending time with her family and
fun summer activities.
